Our bulletin board is powered by phpbb. The user guide on the phpbb website is quite comprehensive.

Setting up a board
Enter a username/password combo. Then click the install button.

Hint: if you're administering the board yourself, why not use your admin system login/password.

For each board you install, you'll see three links to:

The board as the users see it
The board's admin interface
The html code needed to add a link to the board to your website
