Frequently Asked Hosting Questions

How do I transfer to BlueFish from another hosting company?

All you have to do is place an order from our website at www.bluefishhosting.com. Once you place an order with us we can facilitate the transfer of your domain name to our DNS (server). Simply select transfer on the field provided on the online order form. We will fill out the correct forms and submit your domain transfer request.

Your registrar will contact you at the e-mail address that is currently listed on your DOMAIN REGISTRANT form, for your authorization of the transfer. When you receive this e-mail from them simply respond in the affirmative and send it back to them. The transfer takes about 48 hours. Once your account is set up, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, which will include your login information, password, FTP hostname and your access information for our Members Only services.

You can then begin uploading your files to your new hosting account. You will be given a location to access your site by way of FTP and the Web, prior to the completion of your domain registration or transfer.
